Swiss chard
I picked this yesterday morning, painted it and then made a Swiss tart using it and some gruyere cheese – delicious. This was a recipe from a favourite chef, Allegra McEvedy’s Colour Cookbook. It’s really easy to grow and I have it outside the kitchen in old crates so I can just pick it easily and bung it in a salad – wonderful. It’s also great mixed with cream or goat’s cheese and chilli sauce, stuffed into chicken breasts which, hmmm………..might be on the menu ce soir.
Pen, what a fabulous idea, i look forward to receing your email , your paintings are fabulous and I love them all. I will always love my bucket! LOL Moira x
Thanks Moira………..that gives me another idea, hmm buckets!
