Broad beans
Finally, I’ve come to the end of the broad beans. They were so delicious, especially mashed up with olive oil, mint and lemon and spread on toasted ciabatta……….mmmm. Anyway, I kind of liked the way these last ones had all the spots left on by the blackfly so decided to paint instead of mash. They were also very swollen with their fruits. This picture is inspired by my favourite still-life painter, William Nicholson whose painting Lustre Bowl is a sublime example of how it should be done! Should be back to speed next week as holiday is sadly coming to an end.
you have a lovely quality to your work and creative viewpoints.
I also admire Nicholson’s work.
Thank you Julie.
