Jug and butterdish
I love this old butterdish although, the blocks of butter must have been huge back in the day because modern packets are lost in this monster. I had to prop the butter on top of a matchbox to make it visible!
It was great to meet so many lovely people yesterday at Spirit of Christmas. I hope you’ve all subscribed to my blog! I’m heading up to Cumbria today for a few days and won’t be able to blog again until next week so, by subscribing, it will come to you automatically when I’m back…………..clever huh? Charlotte Supple‘s stand (C94) is running until Sunday where there are still some paintings and of course, her lovely antiques. She will also be at the Country Living Fair next week – well worth a look, she has an amazing eye for good quality, beautiful old furniture and household items.
Penny – really love this picture, very fresh – the vintage wallpapers that you have are lovely
Thank you Helen. I really enjoyed doing this one, I love the vintage wallpapers too. They are going to be a theme I can see, replicating them appeals to my inner child who loves the quiet of monotony!
Alex, aged 7, says it is amazing and it looks like you are looking at your own kitchen. Wonderful painting.
Alex – what a lovely thing to say…………. thanks pal.
Hi Penny, I bought this picture from Spirit of Christmas and I love it! Looking at it now by my desk and it is such a happy purchase. Thank you. I will be going to Country Living too so will look out for Charlotte’s stall…. trouble is, I am supposed to be buying Christmas presents at these things and end up buying things for myself that I can’t part with. hey ho. C (PS I have subscribed!)
Caroline, I’m so glad you love it. It makes me really happy to know when people are pleased with their buys. So nice to know it has a good home! See you at CL if you are going on Wednesday.
