Oil on canvas – NFS

At last I’ve finished all commissions and am going to hang up my brushes now until after Christmas, principally to give the old frozen shoulder some healing time……….but more likely to do my Christmas mum jobs.   I’ll be Googling my online shopping before ordering on Amazon and heading off to Starbucks for a coffee…………not.   The painting shown here is a commission and is on quite a big canvas.  I managed to get it done before the beasts started to pong but couldn’t quite bring myself to put them in the pot.   The winner of the Christmas draw (below) is julie@yeo……….Merry Christmas.

Merry Christmas everyone.

Two apologies.   Firstly, the pop-up shop didn’t quite pop-up yesterday!  Hiccups with the lease means it will now open next week.  Also, I need my daughter (tradition!) to draw the random number of a subscriber to win the Christmas painting and she’s not here until tomorrow, so that’s when we’ll do it.  You’ve got to be in it to win it so, last chance to sign up to my blog.  I’ve just been down to the Bell Plantation to get my Christmas tree……….it’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas, or at least December.

The MadeinNorthamptonshire shop opens tomorrow in Northampton’s St. Giles Street.   I’m going along for a look this evening so will report back tomorrow.  Tomorrow I’m going to draw the winner of the Christmas painting giveaway so make sure you’re subscribed to qualify.

Pomegranates in a bowl

My but it’s cold today, especially watching hockey!  The festive season kicks off for me this evening with bookclub Christmas Party……yea.   This involves eating a four- course dinner, chatting with friends and drawing vague reference to the book I haven’t quite finished.   Culture vulture?  Not me.

hank you to all who came to see me over the weekend – what a sociable time!  I don’t think I ever want to see another mince pie.  I’ve got to get cracking now on finishing commissions and then take a long deep breath over Christmas.  I failed to post my weekly film review last week too.  A must see is Silver Linings Playbook – fab, really funny and quirky and I enjoyed it immensely despite  by the woman next to me continuously rattling her paper sweetbag………why??  This is quickly becoming a film review blog with a painting attached – and a call to cinemas to ban paper sweet and popcorn bags.  Anyone with me?
