Wedding peonies

After the wedding on Saturday, I managed to snaffle some peonies from a table. Now, by rights, peonies should not have made an appearance at a July wedding, but the wet spring meant there were plenty available for the nuptials. They came all the way from Essex and were splendid.

This was how I started, blocking in tones.

And carried on building up.
