Back from Cumbria and back to the easel.  Kirkby Lonsdale was at its best and we went on a trip to see where my mother-in-law was born.  She has generously shown me many lovely places in the lakes and dales since I’ve known her but none so lovely as this, the Kentmere valley.  A hidden treasure at the end of a terrifyingly narrow road.  The farmhouse had barely changed from the sepia photos we clutched in our hands.  Much catching-up ensued with the new owners who have been there a mere seventy-five years!  Any away, enough of that.
