Norfolk fun
Excuse my absence but whilst my website and blog have been in for repair, I have been skittering around the gorgeous Norfolk broads as part of a plein-air event (A brush with the broads or ABWTB to those in the know). What fun, hanging out with painting buddies, meeting new ones and painting. What’s not to love! The weather was amazing. In fact I burnt whilst painting on the beach at the Quick Draw (2 hours to do a painting) and have some rather unseemly apron marks on my chest. Other women get bikini strap marks…me? Apron marks! Back to the drawing board today
Victorias and jug
Trying out my new website! Hope this works as I’m trying to get to grips with it.
Please go to Available Works and Daily Paintings for Sale to purchase this painting – sorry but the automatic link isn’t working at the moment.
Plums on blue shelf
My website is down for an overhaul so any communication will need to be by email [email protected], just until my clever IT guru sorts me out. I’m a little overwhelmed with garden produce at the moment so am trying to keep up. Here are some of the last plums. Crumbles abound….
Damsons in a soup bowl
This one was sold off the easel last week. Damsons everywhere down the lane now but mostly squished. A few more for tomorrow then I’ll be moving on….sigh of relief.
Damsons and…..?
I’m still on my damson ride but today I picked these apples which hang over the garden wall of the farmhouse next to us. I think they are an ornamental crab apple but what do I know? I’m no Monty Don.
Still suffering from technical glitch so email me if it interests you.
Mushrooms
I think I’m losing my marbles. I completely forgot to post yesterday’s painting. Anyway, the subject matter is going into a bowl of pasta later on this evening as I’m catching up with a long lost friend whilst Jobbers is in Cumbria.
Tech glitches still abound so if interested in this painting please email me. First come as they say..
Demo piece
An exhausting but lovely day yesterday running the first of my September workshops. We all had fun, a delicious lunch and some hard work! I think the participants were pleased with their end results, I thought they did brilliantly. January workshops have just been finalised for 9th, 11th and 12th but more on that later. Here’s my demo piece from yesterday. A rather hurried sketch of a somewhat over complicated subject but there was a lot to cover. My website is playing up so for the time being, if interested in any paintings please email me. Daily paintings are £85
Damsons and jug
Jobber’s returned from his pre-work dog walk with these wild damsons last week. They grow on a tree in our lane and drop and get squished by the cars as the day progresses. You have to be early to get them in one piece…..which he normally is. I, on the other hand, at that ungodly hour can be found sipping tea in bed…shocking!
Somebody saw this painting in preview as it was drying and bought it but I’m quite inspired by these little fellers so am hoping to do more.
