Treacle

After the wolves had been home for the weekend, was sadly lacking in subject matter so grabbed this from the larder. It’s going to a new home in as part payment for some lovely frames. More on that later. Love the bartering system! Two guinea-pigs anyone?

Eggs on black

I’ve been using my lovely new blue colour but can’t show you yet as it’s such an incredibly slow drier. In the meantime, here’s one I made earlier.

And………we’re home. Cold, need haircut desperately and looking forward to Waitrose visit. I pick-up my girl tomorrow and one son is home for a break too……that warms the house and the heart. The bounce is some new lambs in the field behind my studio. I’ve spent the morning packing up paintings for those lovely buyers who allow me to carry on doing what I love. Thank you all. Right, Waitrose. I hear those Edamame beans calling.

Hot chocolate cup

This cute little cup and saucer is from Belgium and was used to serve chocolat chaude. More accurately, it’s from my friend’s cupboards which I am continually raiding. I am blessed with generous-spirited friends! Another lockdown today due to protests against certain cartoons. Hey-ho, it’s that time of year when there’s much practice for tomorrow’s Burns night bash so the afternoon will be spent perfecting my gay Gordon’s.

Ketchup

Back in Pakistan and just going through the usual jet-lag fiasco. How can it be that you go to bed exhausted having not slept and then can’t sleep! Anyway, moan over. The sun is shining so it snot all. This is somebody’s belated Christmas present, requested before the big day but I didn’t have time until today to do it.

Merry Christmas

Jobs are piling up so I think I need to migrate from studio to kitchen in readiness for the festivities. I just wanted to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a wonderful 2015. I also want to thank you all for following me and especially those of you who have been collecting my work. Not only does it spur me on it also allows me to keep on doing it – and I love it!
To put the icing on the cake for me as the year closes, I was delighted to hear this morning that I’ve just been elected a full member of the Northampton Town and County Art Society with whom I’ve been exhibiting for many a year. I am having an impromptu open studio on Sunday 11.30-3.30 with bargains, mince pies and mulled wine on offer so do drop in if you’re around.

Merry Christmas all!

Merry Christmas all!

Coffee cup and rose

I expect you are thoroughly sick of this cup by now! You’ll be glad to hear I’ve left it behind in Pakistan so won’t be taking a starring role again until I get back. Hopefully will find some time to paint next week but two days at mall galleries. Tuesday at private view of Royal institute of oil painters (let me know if you’d like an invitation) and Wednesday at a portrait demo by June Mendoza. Will be nice to sit and watch! Have a great weekend. Looking forward to watching a lovely young couple tie the knot tomorrow… Good luck Fred and Alice.
