Blush noisette and paper

Ooooh it feels good to be back in the saddle after a hectic couple of weeks of wedding and finishing off larger paintings.
The wedding was great and the sun even came out after a week of Welsh drizzle. The Gower was beautiful and I even managed to squeeze in a bit of plein-air painting. So now it’s back to “dailies” and workshops coming up….busy, busy.
Here’s one from the garden. As Elvis Costello would say, it’s been a good year for the roses. I’ve also included a photo of the happy couple, jus because I’m allowed to be a proud mummy/mother-in-law.

Blush noisette

This profuse rose grows over two separate supports in the garden at Chapel Cottage. Annoyingly, not being there to dead-head, it will probably have given up the ghost by the time I get back. This will have to do.
