Hellebores and cherries
Hi, I’ve been busy with larger works again but managed to get some Hellebores painted. They are so gorgeous, heralding the arrival of spring (!) with their garnet red petals.
How fortunate that I had some cherries in the studio too which match their colours beautifully!!
Have a lovely weekend……heading north tomorrow so no time to paint 🙁

Hellebores
I sketched the last of my garden hellebores for a lovely couple who had missed out on the last ones. They popped by to pick them up yesterday as I was finishing a big painting.
I seem to be having a rekindled relationship with flowers at the moment so will show you what I’ve been painting large-scale soon. In the meantime, here are said hellebores.

Hellebores 2
Phew! I’m utterly exhausted after a full-on weekend in Brick Lane at the Talented Art Fair. Great fun and sold some paintings so happy but tired. Just as well I’d finished this little sketch last week as all I want to do today is put everything away, stock up at Waitrose and drink tea! Welcome to my new bloggees too, great to have you on board and lovely to meet you this weekend.

Hellebores
I’ve been neglecting my blog I’m afraid as I’ve been very busy tearing around. Firstly I went to Coton Manor to continue my ”year at Coton” project whereby I’m doing a plein-air and a corresponding still life for each month. It’s fascinating to be there when it’s closed to the public and see how hard the team work to keep it in shape. They’re getting ready for their Snowdrops and Hellebores weeks openng on Saturday. Secondly, I went to Wolverhampton yesterday to do a demo for the Victory painting group who were a delightful bunch. Today I’ve been in the studio painting snowdrops and cherries……but not together. More on those later.

Back in Pakistan. I feel a bit banjaxed after all this flying but a good nights sleep tonight should do it. Here are some hellebores from my garden last week. Can’t engage my brain enough to say anymore!

I don’t know about you but I’m lovin’ this weather. I have been busy walking in training for the Moonwalk (more on that later) and getting out painting too. England is beautiful at the moment. We have rain forecast tomorrow so I’ve been out to buy some beet root to paint. It just took my fancy.
Here’s today’s from the garden.

No sign of the mouse yet……………..maybe Bubba is delusional. Anyway, will leave the trap out and see what happens. I have been working on a large painting today but here is another of the hellebores that I did in a marathon session……… they don’t last long before drooping. I had two buyers for yesterday’s so this one is off to the person who missed out. I’m hoping I haven’t depleted my friend’s entire stock and she might let me have some more.
