More cherries

5''x7'' oil on canvas-SOLD

Well, they were such fun to paint that I did some more!

pear

8''x8'', oil on gessoboard-SOLD

Here’s a lovely, juicy pear taking centre stage.  I think lighting from the top gives a subject an air of drama.  As for apples, well my lawn is covered in little unfulfilled spheres of goodness that have dropped off the tree in protest at the lack of rain (did I say lack of rain?! I think I was referring to last month!).  That and the fact that I haven’t had time to thin them out has really upset the little blighters.

Cherries

8''x8'' oil on gessoboard-SOLD

I had to be really quick painting these as they never last long in our house.  My daughter will get through a whole punnet in five minutes.  They are delicious at this time of year though.

Gerbera

8''x8'' oil on gessoboard

I went to Hampton Court flower show on Friday and despite wind and rain, the gardens were really inspiring.  I came home and felt quite flat looking at my somewhat bedraggled borders.  As my school reports used to say, could do better!

Mushrooms

8''x8'', oil on gessoboard - SOLD

I really love the colours in mushrooms, all very subtle but there nevertheless.  These massive great cup mushrooms were from the ”vegetable lady” whose name I’m going to ask soon.  I can’t keep referring to her as the ”vegetable lady” but we all do!  She’s only in town on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays and it’s a treat to visit her stall on a sunny morning.

cup and narcissi

8''x8'', oil on gessoboard, SOLD

My daughter won this little cup at school in athletics and as I had to give it back for the next year’s recipient, I thought I’d preserve it for posterity in paint!

Teacup again

oil on gessoboard 8''x8'', SOLD

So these technical gliches are driving me steadily crazy.  I’m just a self-confessed IT Neanderthal and things have got to change.  I’m posting this picture to see how it looks because apparently………..I have pixel problems.  No kidding!

Anyway, it’s two for one today as I’d already posted the Tete-a-tete.
